The Publishing Chain / Part 3
Writing the Book
Read customer reviews →Let Claude help draft your chapters, or write together, and review each one before moving on.
Is this your next step? You are ready to write, or have a draft to develop.
The work has an output
What you work towards.
- Four ways to work: AI drafting, writing together, writing with assistance, or learning to write independently.
- A structure tied to the reader and the promise of the book.
- Working registers that track patterns, anecdotes and promises.
- A handover manifest and supporting files for editing.
- Full chapters in Word files for your reading, feedback and explicit approval, with an authorship log.
- An image plan agreed before chapter drafting begins.
You choose the direction and approve the work. Keep the guide for future books, with a separate folder for each project.

A useful starting point
Before you begin.
Your book charter, research findings and author profile. If you already have a draft, the guide helps establish the correct starting point and required files.
Use the PDF in Claude Cowork on your desktop, with a connected browser (Claude in Chrome or the app’s browser). Attach the previous handover ZIP and paste its start prompt, or type go. External subscriptions are separate. A standalone purchase needs equivalent input files; the guide checks what is missing. If you are unsure whether your files are sufficient, email the team before buying.
